The Bike II came out in 1979 just two years after the first generation.Has a 1979 date code with extremely rare blue stamped Bike jaw pads and chin strap and blue heat pressed stamping of the Bike logo size made in the USA and the NOC.SAE stamp on the other side on the back of the helmet.Red dot adult size medium.The first years of Bike helmets came out in 1977 and were the standard of college and pro football through the 90s.Ive never seen one this old that has never been drilled for a facemask and may never again.On each side they made a tap to show you where to drill for the facemask.White helmets can yellow over time this one looks white as snow!Most of our favorite players chose these as they were just plain better and more comfortable than the Riddell helmets of that period,Joe Montana wore this same exact helmet and red dot medium size as many did.Some teams like the Alabama Crimson Tide every single player wore a Bike helmet!A nice piece to keep original or have that custom helmet project you have been looking for.Don't sleep on this one you might not find another
