    2x NOS USSR МП40a PNP Germanium Transistors
    Sale is for a pack of two (2) МП40a PNP Germanium Transistors. These transistors are known (along with the ГТ308В &
    МП16Б
    ) amongst the NOS USSR-production Germaniums for being low-leakage
    ; this means that they'll work well in a variety of applications, particularly in amplifiers, effects (vintage fuzz pedals, notably - we use these in many of our Tone-Bender circuits), synthesizers and similar. Item length and height as described in the 'Additional Item Specifics' section refer to the dimensions of the main body of the transistor, not the 'legs', as the 'leg' length can vary substantially.
    Note: these types of transistors tend to sound better after a few hours' break-in time.
    All transistors are tested prior to shipment
    and therefore guaranteed working and non-DOA. This is a huge bonus, as we regularly see DOA rates up to 40-50% when we receive them; we go through the headache of testing all of them so that you don't have to!
