Alexandria, Nero, AD 54-68. Ar tetradrachm. 24 mm. 12.2 gm. RY 14 = 67/8. Obv: ΝΕΡΩ ΚΛΑY ΚΑΙΣ ΣΕΒ ΓΕΡ A, Radiate bust of Nero to left, wearing aegis. Rev. ΠOΠΠAIA Veiled and draped bust of Hera Argeia (Poppaea?) to right; before, star. Ref: Dattari (Savio) 236. K&G 14.110. for Hera reverse.
Unpublished with Poppaea, who died in 65, 2-3 years before this coin was struck. Possibly unique. Ex. Peter Lowrek collection. 1972.
