    Description

The Fourth Armored Division: From the Beach to Bavaria
Official, hardcorever, printed in Munich, 1946
THE story of the 4th from Omaha and Utah Beach landings on D Day
pushing back Hitler's troops to Germany and ultimate surrender of WWII
Fully illustrated, dozens of full page photos, maps, the brass on down.
Nice job, given the occupied Germany quality paper that has browned with age,
Front and rear hinge cracks, front is half broken, but all pages are attacked, er, attached
296 pages, ending with "He Rolled with the 4th, filled by former owner, a 4th soldier, lists
his time in the 4th (started Christmas Day, 1944) service, battles seen (Ardennes, Rhineland, Central Europe),
awards issued, units he was a part of.
Heavy, in more ways than one.
Researching, the few other copies i found all have this hinge crack problem, basically from
the quality of the binding there, although the dozens photos are still of superior quality.
