This auction is NOT for purchasing a Preamp out right, it is to repair your defective unit.
Details
Most of my repair services on Ebay are not audio related, but audio equipment is where I got my start in electronic repair.
I will fully refurbish the unit. All electrolytic capacitors will be replaced. The board will also have all of the capacitors upgraded to low impedance/high reliability audio grade capacitors. This will allow the capacitors to last longer than the factory originals and respond well to audio frequencies.
Tubes will only be replaced if they are faulty, I prefer to keep them original. If the tubes or transformer is/are faulty, there will be an additional charge for their parts cost. I price this repair so that even if the transformer and tubes were needed, you will not be out of pocket more than a used unit's worth. If you strongly prefer the tubes to be replaced, let me know and we can definitely come to an agreement. Sending new tubes of your choice with the preamp is fine too.
After the completion of your repair, the preamp will be fully tested in a studio setting. Then I will ship it back to you for free.

Repair Leadtimes
A normal repair can be completed within 1 week. If I experience high repair volume I will inform you of the lead time on the date of purchase, before you mail it to me. If my lead time is not sufficient, you can cancel hassle free. If your unit requires a new transformer(s) and Jensen currently does not have stock, lead times can get into the range of a month because Jensen is a busy company.
Un-Repairable Units
If the preamp ends up being un-repairable, I will gladly refund you your repair fee, and return it to you.
Warranty Information
My repairs are guaranteed for 6 months beginning on the day I ship your unit back to you.
I will gladly accept all warranty claims. You will need to pay for shipping to me, and the return shipping will be at my expense. There will be no other charges at all.
All customer units are logged in my system with their model and serial number from the side of the housing. If these numbers do not match upon return, I cannot honor your warranty.
All of the internals of your unit will also be documented and marked prior to shipping back to you. If these markings are missing because of boards or tubes being swapped or someone attempting repair, I cannot honor your warranty.
Please do not attempt to repair your unit.
If your warranty claim is not accepted, you can either decide to get the unit repaired again or have it returned at your expense.
