    This is for a Rare Vintage, Antique Original World War II United States Navy, USS Wakefield AP-21 Hardcover War Cruise History Cruise Book. The USS Wakefield was a Troop Transport. This book includes account's of the ship's 46 crossing of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, a chronology of her life from 1930 as the Manhattan until 1946, many pages of photos, biographies, etc.. The Wakefield carried over 215,000 troops, passengers and refugees between Europe, Asia and America. In 1942 she escaped serious damage in an attack by Japanese bombers and later that year was victim of a fire of unknown origin that nearly destroyed the ship. The ship was rebuilt and recommissioned in 1944.  It is in very, very good used historical condition. It has all of its pages. 66 pages. The book is complete. It has no handwriting, rips or tears to the pages. All the pages and the photos are really good. The cover has a little minor wear. A Very Nice World War II Cruise Book.
