THIS TRAINING MANUAL IS IN VERY GOOD OVERALL CONDITION. THE ONLY THING THIS ORIGINAL 1943 ISSUED MANUAL SUFFERED FROM WAS POOR SHELF STORAGE TO THE OUTER FRONT & BACK COVERS ONLY.
TM IS – 108 PAGES
THE FRONT COVER REMAINS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH JUST VERY MINOR SHELF STORAGE BLEMISHING.
THE REAR COVER SHOWS BLACK DOT STAINING FROM WHAT MAY HAVE BEEN OIL OR GREASE OR JUST DIRTY SHELF STORAGE .. THE REAR COVER SHOWS THE ONLY BAD MARKING ON THIS OTHERWISE VERY NICE ORIGINAL TM. ONLY THE REAR COVER SUSTAINED THIS AND IT IS OF COURSE DRIED. THERE WAS JUST MINISCULE SHADOWING FROM THIS ON THE INSIDE OF THE REAR COVER ONLY, AND EVER SO SLIGHTLY ON THE OPPOSITE LAST BLANK DIVIDER PAGE, AS SEEN IN THE PHOTO GALLERY.
INSIDE FRONT FIRST PREFACE INDEX PAGE SHOWS MINISCULE SHADOWY DOT STAINING FROM 70+ YRS. OF STORAGE WITH MINISCULE RUST AROUND THE CENTER LEFT STAPLE AS SEEN IN PHOTO GALLERY.
SPINE & BINDING ARE GOOD & SOLID
THERE ARE NO TEARS OR TORN PAGES!!
THERE IS NO PENCIL OR PEN WRITING ANYWHERE INSIDE THE BOOKLET THAT WE COULD FIND, AS THIS IS OF COURSE WHAT COLLECTORS PREFER MOST… NO WRITING INSIDE ORIGINAL WAR TIME ISSUED BOOKLETS.
CLOSE INSPECTION INSIDE OF PAGES SHOW VERY LITTLE IF ANY REAL USE OR READING AND ALL PAGES REMAIN IN VERY GOOD CONDITION.. ONLY SHOWING THE EVER SO SLIGHT YELLOWISH TINGE OF AGE OF A 78 YEAR OLD PAPER BOOKLET.

US Military Training Manuals of WWII:
During WWII the War Dept. published over 2000+ military TM Training manuals as official publications intended to be instructive and informative to all branches of the service in both training and standard procedures to be followed for use of all military equipment, weapons, radios, and all manner of every conceivable piece of military equipment issued during the war.. They were produced by and for all the branches of service, but are generally called Army manuals. Using a phrase which appeared in many, they were “published for the information and guidance of all concerned.”
During the 1940s, military manuals were approved by the Chief of Staff and authenticated by the Adjutant General. TM Training Manuals and (FM) Field Manuals .. A Full List and Index of War Department Publications, however is not detailed or found in The Library of Congress, though there are compiled lists prepared by other historical references & individuals.
Training Manuals and Field Manuals
“
Index of War Department Publications
.”
Of interest to military historians, curators, military enthusiasts, re-enactors, living historians and collectors, (TM) Training Manuals and (FM) Field Manuals can be used to trace the evolution of the Army’s doctrine, organizational structure, equipment, uniforms, and weapons during World War Two, and are also of interest in terms of the care, maintenance and preservation of military artifacts.
